I have no experience with the battery operated version. I do know the manual pump works quite well and is easy to use. You can easily reach the pressure relief if you go too far. The battery version might be better but I wouldn't know.

Without searching I don't have a procedure for an ideal pumping therapy program.

I used one for 6 weeks before my surgery. Got it on amazon for like 35.00 electric with 4 settings works great .. I advise you to go to vitality medical and get the guards, they are round flat floppy disks with a hole in the middle ... gives you a good surface to put the pump against for sealing ... this pump is strong enough it will suck a ball right up next to your coks hurts like hell ... lol .. I used mine once or twice a day .. pump him up let him swell ...hold it for a minute or so .. then release the suction ..rest for a minute then repeat .. your trying to get the tissue to expand and get fresh blood going into it.. depending on age and how long you have had ED your dick will shrink. You can gain some back with the pump ..I'm sure there are more experienced people on here in regards to pumping before and after your implant .. good luck

I can't seal the pump around the penis, so I can't create a vacuum.

I tried to sort of answer that first question in a post in this thread: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22340
There is no set number of pumps and couldn't be as every dick is different. If you're causing pain you've gone too far. Use plenty of caution when starting out. Don't rush things. Once you gain experience you'll be able to figure out what works best for you.

Sealing the pump cylinder: If you haven't yet, you need to do some serious manscaping in the area where the pump cylinder is supposed to sit and seal. Hair in that immediate area should be shaved or close to it. Additional manscaping is highly recommended is you plan to try using the constriction rings. Those rings do an excellent job of grabbing hair and pain will result. Lube of some sort will also help make a seal. You need to use lube in the process anyhow so use some on your skin in the area where you need to make a seal. You may find it helpful to use the cylinder insert, at least initially, to help make a seal. You should also experiment with the cylinder angle against your body.

A further note: Depending on your anatomy, it may be advisable to angle the cylinder down some, pressing it closer against your body between your shaft and balls to prevent them from being sucked into the cylinder under vacuum. When that happens it can result in some serious pain and a panicked effort to release vacuum quickly. And no matter how quickly you release the vacuum it won't seem quick enough. An experience you'll appreciate the urgency of and one you'll want to avoid repeating.

Good luck.

For exercise I use a clear silicone donut sleeve which are available on Amazon or many sources…they are inexpensive, comfortable and provide a good seal. For intercourse I use a thin latex body shield between the VED and my groin. After pumping and installing the rings, I move the shield to the front of the rings as my wife does not like the feel of the rings. Hope this helps with your seal - works great for me…
