I was a diabetic for about eight years when my ED first started to effect my performance. My Endocrinologist gave me some 25 mg Viagra samples that worked like a charm so the doc wrote a prescription which I filled at my mail order pharmacy. They worked well for about five years until I had to increase the dose to 50 gr and again to 100 gr several years later.

When the 100 mg Viagra no longer was effective, I went to a urologist who prescribed Trimix which I filled at an independent compounding pharmacy. I questioned the urologist if my issue was most likely due to a venous leak and his response was that it could be, but let’s try the Trimix first and see if it works before undergoing an expensive Doppler test And, sure enough, the Trimix worked, at least for the next three years until We needed to increase the strength. The uro advised that I probably had a venous leak but that the Trimix was generating enough blood inflow to off set the outflow.

Now that 70 units of Triple strength Trimix can no longer get the job done, I am successfully using a VED and Osbon tension bands; however, I am limited to 20 minutes under tension, but can work around this time frame by removing the band for five minutes and the repumping and constricting again.

I am now consider continuing with the inconvenient VED or moving on to an implant. I will be 76 in a few weeks and not sure if the expense and risk of the operation is worth going through at my age

Anyway, the purpose of my story was to say that none of the docs I visited made any money either directly or through kick backs (excluding regular appointment costs) by recommending either pills or injections, though the Urologist did demonstrate how an implant works in the event I elected to go in that direction.
