Inguinal hernia

I was just diagnosed with an inguinal hernia. The doctor explained what it was and said that if it bothered me he could send me to a specialist to repair it. He also said that I probably had it for some years. When I got home, I googled it. It seems that it can affect the erection quality. Has anyone here had an inguinal hernia and if so, when you had it repaired did you notice that your erections were better?

I was born with an inguinal hernia and was afflicted with painful spasms until I had a repair operation on the R side at about 4 yrs old.
No subsequent issues with dick function (I remember getting erections at age 4 or 5; until very recently (at 80) it has been a bit of an issue. But I give my dick lots of encouragement)
This year, I had an i h incident and went into emergency surgery. This time on the L side. I am now recovering with the help and advice of physios and it looks like that old feeling is coming back to my much loved organ. I am doing all I can to encourage this, of course. Herbs, massage, pumping,etc etc.
Love your dick, give it lots of kind attention, and it will love you back.
