4 inguinal hernia repairs. Bilateral repair 2 and 3 is what did it, then that _)*(^^&*$#^*$%^(*&^#&$*(% prostatectomy was the final blow. Things actually improved after hernia repair number 4 when Dr. Brent Mathews repaired the wreck that was made in 2. 3 months later was the prostate cancer and things went to hell. Mathews is a master general surgeon. Scars you have to search to find. VERY nice bedside manner too. Now in SC

Mine was confirmed this week....I have a venous leak. Headed for implant in near future.
Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.

For quite some time I was told it was all in my head.
For myself it's 100% "in my head". I did Doppler test, testosterone, blood work and everything is normal.
My ED started when I was 23 (before , everything was good and could've have sex 4-5 times per night). So when I was 23 , I was dating nice-looking girl, but when just before 1st sex with her, when he took clothes off, I noticed very ugly rush on her inner thigh, and I'm very squeamish. Thus , my erection disappeared and I couldn't have sex. Since then, I had this psychological ED on and off. For 4-5 months I could've had normal sex (sometimes great), but then suddenly I had ED for 1-2 months. In order to overcome this mental ED , I needed to introduce something new in our sex life, like sex toys for example. However, about 5-6 years ago, I wasn't able to overcome period of ED. I tried Cialis, Viagra, levitra , did Kegel exercises - nothing helped. The only places where I could've overcome ED and have good sex with my wife, were at "sexual" oriented resorts like Couples, Desire, Hedonism... At home, I needed to have injection and I get with it mixed results. Sometimes it work, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes I get prolonged erection , sometimes cannot orgasm , sometimes all good.

My ultimate cause was prostate cancer with a radial prostatectomy. But before that about 17 years ago, my wife and I were on a remote island of the Cook Islands. There were no taxis so we used a couple of bikes provided by the resort to pedal to a restaurant down the road. The only bike left for me was one that the seat was way too high. I decided to tip toe the pedals to and from the restaurant which made the seat press hard on my prostate (which I was not aware at the time was my prostate). Later that night, there was no way of coaxing an erection. I starting having erection problems after that, but nothing Viagra wouldn't fix until RP.

So if you are going to ride bikes, use a very padded seat.

About ten years after being diagnosed with diabetes (insulin dependent type 2) I started to develop ED. First, 25 mg of Viagra worked well but after several years, even 100 mg became ineffective. Then,15 units of Trimix got the job done but had to increase the strength two times and increase the dose to 75 units and even then Trimix became ineffective. It has now been 25 years since diagnoses and I have to rely on my VED and Osbon tension bands in order to generate a decent erection.

Unfortunately, elevated blood sugar cause plaque to build up in the blood vessels which restricts penile blood flow in the penis. It also causes peripheral neuropathy which desensitizes the nerve endings in the penis and also causes autonomic neuropathy which negatively effects involuntary bodily functions, including sexual response

Well until recently that is just what both my wife and I thought. I was healthy what else could it be. Neither one of us looks like we did 31 years ago. So seemed plausible enough. So I tried to make myself need sex. My testo was low so began taking implant pellets every 4 months. After tears my sex drive increased by my erections finally flatlined. That is when I sought profes help. Had a doppler. Leakage of 6 both sides. My wife and I were both shocked! Last week another doppler showed severe Peyronie's disease. Another big shock. In the VED I am a big beautiful perfectly formed 7 inches with no pain and never had any. But inside my penis looks like a war zone. I'm not going to say you are lucky but right now I don't even know if an implant will work for me. More test to run. But you can 100% have a rock hard erection on demand 1st time every time. I would trade places with you in a heart beat.

Circumcision or frenectomy. Yes it happened. It doesn't cause VL but low libido. I never ever thought a circumcision could lead to ED and low sex drive. If some one told me this before my circumcision, I would consider it's bull shit. But googling turns out there are some others have the same issue after frenectomy, i.e. removal of frenum. Googling in Chinese and Korean returns more cases. The frenum is important for a small proportion of people (higher among east Asain). Note that circumcison w/o frenectomy is totally fine for everyone, i.e. if anyone asserts ED after circumcison, there must be frenectomy performed concurrently.

Probably the takeaway from my experience is to avoid all unnecessary surgeries for a man's dick.
26 living in China. Circumcision/frenectomy in LA caused low libido and mild ED, i.e. difficult to get aroused, but could erect when aroused.
Developed twist and slight curvature(Peyronie's) after 1st Doppler injection with alprostadil.
