New Jersey is on the Forum

Postby Bakermc » Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:59 pm

Hello,

I live in New Jersey and found this site by searching implants. I'm 58 and have ED for 4 years. I'm married with 5 great children ranging from 33 years old to 5.....wow go figuere ED after the 5th...lol. I've tried pills and injections. I didn't try the pump just didn't feel it would work on me. I'm all set to have an implant on November 8, 2011 and been on the internet checking all about it. My doctor is great and he suggested to look into an implant. I don't know which one is being installed. All I was told it will be the latest and greatest on the market. I'm kind of nervous of the size loss. I'm large in both areas and I really do like the way it looked and hoping it will be close. Last time I checked it was 7.5 long and using a tape measure it was 7 round. I was told it looked like an apple on a stick...lol. I also have lymphedima from birth which also contributes to the size. I haven't had a good and I mean a good erection for a while. Even using injections didn't work and that made me nuts. Reading about the lose of length in some of the forums is making me have 2nd thoughts. But I'm going to have it done...I want my fun times back...My doctor hasn't performed any test's on me as to sizing, stretching or anything involving the implant. I will be doing pre admission testing but that's all. Is this normal??? I do trust him very much. He did give me a number of a patient to call which I haven't done yet. My wife is very supportive and really can't wait. It's been tough on my mind not being able to use it. My wife is 44 and is ready to start up her engine again for me.

Any way I appreciate the information on this site and will give updates as time goes on. Any suggestions will be appreciated....Thanks guys for listening.

Baker:

First, welcome. This is a very good place and our bionic brothers certainly enjoy their new "life" and I'm sure you will to.

Please re-post this under Implants Discussion Board. I think you will get better response that way. There are a number of guys here in line for implant within the next few weeks. Also, look thru the Implant discussion Board as there is a lot of info there. Some guys have posted pics of before and after. Have a look and feel free to contact any of them if you have questions. And if you wish to walk on the wild side a bit post pics yourself. We are all adults here; fighting the common enemy. Pleased to hear you have decided and are going ahead to address the issue.

I am not bionic (yet) but understand that a good surgeon can size well. Suggest you make clear to your surgeon that maintaining you size is an important outcome you expect. Experienced doc's seem successful. However, we and our buddies down there are all different so each guy's response and shaft ability differs.

Join the chatroom when you can and ask ?'s. It can be a fun place.

Again welcome!!

Regards,

Dick

Welcome Baker,

I developed ED Post Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65.
Viagra, etc. did not work for me.
I attended numerous Seminars on Penile Implants and, finally, got to speak with two men who undergone the
Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure and were very happy with the results.
I had my Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure performed 3 weeks later at Hackensack University Medical Center by
Dr. Hossein Sadeghi. I live in Bergen County.
In retrospect, this was one of the best decisions I have made.
It restored my sex life and, more importantly, the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
We were High School Sweethearts.
I became a Patient Educator for Coloplast in January 2008 in order to share my experiences before and after my Implant with men suffering from ED and its devastating side effects.
Feel free to contact me in the Forums, Chat Room or PM, should you have further questions.
Hope this will be of some help.

Best of Luck,

Bob
