Hello
This is my first post. I had my prostatectomy 11years ago. I was 46. I did injections for first two years. Viagra works sometimes. Never could figure out why it worked sometimes. Found site in Sunday's The New York Times. The article was "the side effects? Well, There Is One .... Wish I had seen that article before surgery. Excellent article. Everyone should read it.
Thanks.

Glad you're here, Engmark. Take some time to read thru the posts. There's tons of good info there. Also drop by the Chat Room when you have a chance. It's another venue for sharing information and just a good place to let off steam in a safe, guys-only environment. It can get bawdy in there sometimes, but then again we're guys. Would you expect anything else?

Look forward to hearing from you again.

Engmark:

Welcome, it is good to have you among us. The Article in the NY Times was good and it shows the long road we have to travel without much medical support or research. Since it's been 11 years, I assume you remain PCa free and that is a good thing. This is a great place and there is a lot to learn as we attempt penile rehab. It was some 4 years after my PCa surgery when I found this site and in reading, trying and asking ?'s I have made additional progress and will continue to do so.

As Greg said, there is a lot of experience and support here. After I found FrankTalk I began to pump and it has helped. You might consider adding that to your activities. The best thing going for you is your young age as the experience seems to show the younger the PCa surgery patient the better possibility for return to function. As you know- using him frequently is also important as we need to keep blood flowing into the shaft and "working" all of those nerves down there with the aim they will better re-connect and talk to each other as they did pre-surgery. Ah, penile rehab can be fun!!

If I can assist in any way please contact me. Read the treatment sections and ask away and enjoy. The experience and support around here makes the journey a lot easier and more fun.

Regards,

Dick
