Howdy

Postby fiterjoc » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:11 pm

Just want to say hello to everyone and tell you how glad I am to have found this site. In way of introduction: I am 67 year old male who has be "officially" diagnosed with "organic ED" (wonderful medical terminology). In years past, have tired vacuum pump, various popular drugs and penile injections with NO results. My urologist recently recommended the one piece (malleable), or "folding" implant. HIS decision based on ease of surgery, recovery time, ease of use and low failure rate due to its simplicity. Nascent research, by my wife and me, revealed opinions that seem to justify my fears; e.g., a somewhat perpetual erection that can be irritating, and embarrassing, at times. It seems the most popular device is the 3 piece inflatable and I'm leaning in that direction. Owners of the 3 piece seem to be satisfied and the majority say they would make the same decision over again. They report more "normal" experience in both the erect and flaccid states. I do have a few questions, or concerns. I will scour this blog and hope to hear the opinion of anyone who can speak from their PERSONAL EXPERIENCES!! 1.Does the penis truly feel "normal" in both the erect and flaccid state?, 2. Is there any change in sensation, discomfort or pain upon manual stimulation either by partner, or self?, 3. Is there any change in sensation, or feeling, during fellatio from the perspective of both partners?. I am a retired pilot, so I ask fellow pilot to jump in on these: 4. Have there been problems with "unintentional" erections due to expaning fluids associated with decreases in pressure with altitude?, 5. Have there been any issues with flight at more than 1g?. Look forward to learning a lot. Of course, when I have made my decision, I will share my experiences with all as well. 5. Finally, how much punishment can it take? NO, NO, nothing kinky here....but some positions (e.g., woman on top) can lead to some funny side loading, if you will. Is intercourse "normal", or must one be a little on the subdued side?
Thanks

We certainly have a few pilots on here, but none with an implant that I know of. I will tell you from my work with both companies, that AMS and Coloplast both are perfectly fine at low air pressure. There is no pressure at all in the system when it is not in active use, so it is not like a filled balloon. The reservoir may be somewhat full, but it is not anywhere near an 'inflated' state. The penile tubes will not be affected much at all by the change in pressure.
Glad to have you here. Come to the chat room. there are plenty of implant guys to talk to.

Fiterjoc,
Boy, your questions are beyond me. That's why it's good to have a range of guys' backgrounds and experiences upon which to draw. Welcome to Frank Talk! And if you do get an implant, you'll have to let us know if you feel anything on landing or take off. In the cockpit, of course. And you know which cockpit I'm referring to, right? (I better quit while I'm ahead....)
60's. Married. Occasional ED offset by a variety of methods (VED pumping, foreskin restoration, edging) with Cialis and/or pills sometimes for sex.
