Hi folks

Postby ck1962 » Sun Mar 06, 2011 4:26 pm

I'm Ken

After seeing the various discussions from men with severe problems (who have my utmost sympathy) I feel somewhat embarrased to talk about my "relatively" minor problems. But the fact is I have ED and even though I have a workable solution I can live with, I am perplexed by it all and want to be a student and maybe a teacher to some.

I'm am 48 soon to turn 49. I really started to notice problems about 3 years ago when the occasional stretch in my pants from just a visual disappeared and eventually followed me to the bedroom with my wife. I received a prescription for Cialis over a year ago and sometimes it works like a charm and sometimes not so great. But it does help. But the perplexing thing is that I am in otherwise very good health and very fit. I am not cured from ED and want to learn more.

It's great to be here.

Hi Ken
First of all welcome to FT.
Don't be embarrased to talk about what you feel is a "relatively" minor problem. ED is not a minor problem. We all get it in different ways. Like you I am not one of the guys here that is post PCa. My ED is a result of stress and depression and what my doctor says is the natural aging process. I am taking cialis 20mg now. I had started a year ago on 10mg but noticed that sometimes it worked and sometimes not. So far the 20mg is working :)

Have you tried anything else, penis rings or penis pumps?

Again welcome and hope to see you in the chat room.

Ken,
Welcome to FrankTalk. Upon my first exposure to this site I too felt like my ED situation was minimal and unique. However, I quickly found out that there was deep, compassionate knowledge and personal experience here, generating a special fellowship that I did not expect.

There is a lot to learn and a lot to share about the various dilemmas with our dicks, but, I have not found a better place to understand the many complex reason of it than FT. I have found answers to questions that I couldn’t clearly articulate but these guys knew exactly what I was trying to say because they live with ED too.

We are eager to hear more about you and the rest of your story. Please visit the chat room often; a lot of blathering and fun is had.

Glad you’re here
Dave

Ken,

Sadly, I can relate to how you put it: "the occasional stretch in my pants from just a visual disappeared and eventually followed me to the bedroom with my wife." I'm in the same boat. Sometimes I do just fine without a pill, but it's nice to have it when I'm tired or stressed. In the meantime, I'm trying various "therapies" to improve overall EQ (erection quality).

You're not the only one here with what I would call "mild" or "occasional" ED, but it's still frustrating. You'll find a lot of encouragement, support and ideas from all the guys here--regardless of how mild or severe their ED issues may be.
60's. Married. Occasional ED offset by a variety of methods (VED pumping, foreskin restoration, edging) with Cialis and/or pills sometimes for sex.

Ken,

When it's your pecker, it ain't minor. Period.

Although there are exceptions, my understanding is that a limp dick is usually a symptom, not the root problem. If you haven't already done so, it might be prudent to have a complete medical check-up, looking for diabetes, prostate issues, low testosterone, and cardiovascular issues of all kinds. At your tender young age, this ED business could well be an early warning sign. If, in fact, there are not underlying organic issues in your case, then you can look elsewhere. Nag, nag, nag until you get answers.

Welcome to the site. We all learn from each other.
