droopy head

Postby DougAnd » Thu Jul 19, 2018 8:03 am

The AMS RN just told me there was no way to predict if your penis head will droop or how long it will last. What do you think guys can you have a droopy head without tip pain?

Unless you have some bad scar tissue that interferes with inserting the cylinders up into your glans, I don't understand why you should have a floppy head. Personally, if that is what they say, I would consult with a different surgeon and see if he says the same. From what I have read in about a year and a half here, there have only been a couple guys with the floppy head issue and both had the same surgeon.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Thanks Greg. I spoke with my LGX RN today. These pros are so closed mouth, give you hints of data to lead you in the right direction. Eventually Dr Saracino wil give me his "These are you options" talk. But he told me I have severe plaque and scarring. So I read up on that. ED permanently shrinks the ends of your Tunica inside of your penis. So it is impossible to get close to your Glans with an implant. The RN said this was common .nothing can be done about it. You will always have a hard penis and a droopy head.
Is that right guys? Your Docs say the same?

Everyone who has had ED for any length of time has shrinkage and scar tissue. I would find another doctor who knows how to deal with it and does so on a weekly basis. Any doctor not willing to take on difficult work is a lazy ass and not worthy of your business or charging you a fee. For thin chambers they make models such as the CX specifically for that. One person here had an implant a year or so ago, first time aborted due to scaring and small size, second time successful after vacuum pump therapy. They even put implants in sex change patients and there is nothing there to start with. Find a doctor that knows what he/she is doing and how to handle every implant, not the implant every 20 minutes kind of doctor ( I am not going to name who).

I had ED and Peyronie's disease for 14 years before getting my implant. Scarring had reduced my erection length by at least 1-¼ inches (1-½ inches after the implant). There was almost no elasticity left and I had modest left side curvature. Nonetheless, my surgeon was able to dilate the corpora cavernosa enough to fit decent size cylinders all the way to the glans. The only thing that makes my glans floppy is the weight of my Prince Albert piercing ring! Also, since the glans is not engorged when flaccid, it isn't stiff like the penis.
Leading up to surgery I vacuum pumped at least three times weekly in order to maintain as much expansion and elasticity as possible.
Don't give up! Ask for a second, or even a third opinion.

Thanks guys, I did get a second opinion. My doctors are a team. So remember that I said things were not clear, just comments made. Well Dr Prody looked at the report squeezed my penis head to tail stretched me out and said, You are very soft and flaccid there's no problem, you'll do just fine. I'll find out on the 8th. Those who have floppy heads. can you feel your implant? And does it go about 1/2 way into the glans or not? Thanks

I had my surgery on July 6. I have a floppy head when inflated. The glan is not part of the erectile tissue that is replaced by the implant. I have read that some guys still take a low dose Cialis to help engorge the head. Will find out soon if it affects penetration..
I was implanted with an AMS 700 MS on July 6,2018. Dr Ratchford with Urology Associates in Grand Rapids MI. I love it. Being able to get hard when and where is great. I have T1D for 30 yrs. Struggled with ED for over 10yrs. Age 54.

I wonder if a Botox injection would firm it up some :)
