it is so great to find this forum & my great appreciation to the people behind this.
well i am 36 physical fit , i was separated from my wife for 1.5 years during which i survived on masturbation mostly prolonged being high on weed...which i am sure is the casue of VL...got divorced in dec17 Right after divorced I developed Ed suddenly panicked.. masturbated 5 times flaccid , from the first day I was pretty sure it was something physical. went to 2 uro both said it is inside my head due to divorce, prescribed 5mg cialis & muscle relaxant with some Vitim, erection came back but no spontaneous. ..all blood work ok...did a dopplor came back ok ...did npt was ok..but i still felt there is something wrong.went to a psychiatrist he gave me drugs as a reaction of which got tinnitus the constant ringing in my right ear. which has no cure(dont ever go to them for ed)....after that made the mistake of masturbation with weed ... things become worse..all erection disappeared...saw discoloration of the shaft with skin thickening....which i presume is due to internal bleeding..also now have a large bulging vein on the penile shaft which i have never seen before ..did another dopplor no erection was induced VL was diagnosed...the uro said i have no blood flow problems but cannot sustain it....panicked....got a prp shot it worked....did another prp shot .....presently can maintain erection on while laying on my back with constant manual stimulation without cialis, i think maintainable for sex...morning wood is there but not as strong...had 5 sexual encounters(one night stands) all of them were good enough
i plan on getting married soon but i think i am not worthy to perform sex every day ......now thinking of making a choice out of injection therapy.(trimex)..implant(dr eid)....stripping surgery from taiwan(dr geng hsu)...embloization ...would appreciate comments for forum member...thanks a lot

First of all, relax. You are in a lot better shape than most people here.

You can even have sex without cialis five different times! If ED drugs work for you, why overthink this right now? There are always injections which work in your case. People do not have good experiences with embolization or any new fancy technique. I wouldn't take a risk with fancy one-off surgery which only 'one doctor claims to do'.

Stop watching porn if you do.

There is always implant if nothing else works.

I developed ED at age 30 after 14 years of a really wonderful sex life. It was devastating to me. I am now 62 so that was years ago. There's weren't all of the tests and treatments back then. I went to a specialist in male sexual dysfunction and he had me lay on the exam table and gave me an injection and I got a very hard erection so he said it was all in my head. He referred me to a Pschologist who could find nothing in my head to cause ED.

I went through a string of doctors and never gave up trying to find a solution. Like you, my problem was being able to get hard when on my back, but my penis would go limp if I rolled over, sat up, stood, up or just move to much. It was only a few years ago a different doctor finally had me go fr a Penile Doppler and a severe VL was determined to be the problem.

I spent years and a bench of money on injections, pills, etc. that were never effective. I wish doctors would look for the cause of the problem so they knew how to treat it versus trying everything before thinking it just might be a VL so let's do the test.

Now I have an implant and my sex life is back on track. Thankfully, my wife stuck with me all those years I had little to no erection.

Dear Friend,

My situation was very similar to yours when I was 43. Never had ED before but after I divorced and started dating again could not get hard at all and I’m sure performance anxiety made it worse.
Started on pills (Levitra) that worked for 5 years then I got rectal cancer and the treatment left me with complete ED. Struggled with pills for another year then got Trimix.

I’m thrilled with the results. I use 3-5 units (a drop) of the 40/30/2 strength and have a super hard on for 3 hours. My girlfriends think I’m god lol.

I’m 53 now and I’m sure implant is in my future, but will wait until Trimix quits working to my satisfaction. Many people here are extremely happy with their implants so when the time comes I won’t hesitate.

All the best!

If I had learned immediately that I had a Venous Leak and knew that pills and injections don't help, I would certainly have started doing research on implants. At age 30 I may have had the fears you are having. At 61 when I got the implant I knew nothing else worked and felt I had absolutely nothing to lose because I was sexually useless as I was.

I had a Prostatectomy due to cancer and after that I had problems with engorgement. It was hit or miss. I am now 8 months out from implant surgery and about a month ago I just started getting random engorgement back again. Many guys here seem to still get full engorgement after their implants if the had it prior to their surgery. I wish I did have full engorgement, but not having it is OK. My cylinders go far into my glans so I have full support for penetration.

Good morning Ringo, welcome to Frank Talk. I am Larry, the websites Moderator, if there is anything I can do to make your Frank Talk experience better, just ask. Feel free to PM me whenever you like. Now, about your problem... I really do not think that smoking weed is the cause of your problem. If you truly have a venous leak then, I think you can rule weed out. I am not a big supporter of weed BUT I am also not anti-weed either. You say that you plan to get married soon but you never said anything about a girlfriend. Have you been having regular sex with a girlfriend? If so, how has that been? Are you able to get and maintain an erection during sex? Have you tried Viagra or Cialis? Have you tried taking the daily dose (5mg) of Cialis? I know you said that the drugs were prescribed but, did you use them? How many times? Have you tried injections? I never could use the injections... I found them to be far too painful... it didn't hurt getting the needle but the medication has to get injected cold and that caused me a lot of pain which in turn wrecked the mood even further than having to stop making out to inject, which I found a big mood wrecker itself. I think I read that you have been checked twice for venous leak (VL)... once said NO and the other was a positive VL... is this correct? If it were me, I would be getting an appointment with a urologist that specializes in men's sexual medicine and tell him this and ask to be checked one more time to confirm either way. If the doctor says that it was caused by the weed (I don't think so) then QUIT SMOKING IT. Was ED or drug use (abuse) the cause of your marital breakdown and eventual divorce? How often do you use drugs? Do you take anything other than weed? Do you have any other health problems? Do you take any other prescription drugs?

Greg
Along with the doctors, our wives/partners truly are the heroes with all of this. They harness their own urges and desires to support us and for some we are talking about a long time, for me it was over 30 years (not total ED the entire time but significant penile issues). They could have just up and left and found a guy with a big dick and no ED but, no, they stay and fully support us. So, let's raise a glass and toast to them. Here, here. :)

The glans has it's own separate blood supply so USUALLY when a man gets ED, the glans are not affected.
