Cotham,

First, God Bless You for the strength and courage you have shown through all your troubles and losses.
I will share my story and hope it helps someone suffering with ED.
I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65.
I had never had any problem with ED prior to my Prostatectomy.
My wife and I were High School sweethearts and had a long and wonderful sex life before my Prostate Cancer.
Viagra, Cialis, etc. did not work for me.
Between worrying about my Prostate Cancer and developing ED I was in a very dark place at that time and had some very disturbing thoughts.
The thing I missed most was the emotional intimacy with my wife of over 40 years and I felt guilty of depriving her of this intimacy and felt shame for not being able to satisfy her. I gradually withdrew into myself a little more each day.
I have worked out in the gym my entire life and I credit this with helping me survive this period of several years.
I attended a number of Seminars on the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant and was very favorably impressed but still not ready to move forward. Then I had the opportunity to speak with 2 men who had undergone the Titan Penile Implant Procedure
and realized this was the real deal!
I had my Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure done three weeks later on December 13, 2007 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Bergen County, New Jersey by Dr. Hossein Sadeghi, a highly regarded Penile Implant Surgeon.
The Titan Implant completely restored my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife and raised my self-esteem
through the roof.
I became a Coloplast Patient Educator in January 2008 in order to share my Pre-Implant and Post-Implant experiences
with men still suffering with ED and its devastating side effects.
I share this to point out that a full and rewarding sex life is still very possible after ED.
If this helps just one man with ED, I think it is worth-while doing.

May God Bless and Protect you and your family.

Bob

Thank you both for making this place a little better for all of us. This is exactly what makes FT helpful and necessary.

Hi Bonefish,

I don't have many words of wisdom to offer but I am right there with you with the depression. I've been on antidepressants (Zyprexa, Wellbutrin) but am currently off them (Still taking Lithium although recently I have found I do not need it) but I was depressed for the exact same reason, brother. Just know I'm here for you like everyone else is...isn't it awesome to have a site like this?!
Name's Ian..
22 year old suffering from chronic/severe psychological ed.
When I find the solution, I'll list it here <_>

I have severe depression. As far as I can tell (and my doctor) it's the cause of my E.D.

My depression isn't situational. It's not going away. So I've tried to manage the E.D. as best I can. Unfortunately, the problem doesn't help the depression much--it just make it worse.

Became angry and depressed so, I am back on Wellbutrin and after a few months I went back to great problems with staying erect and climaxing even with lots of aid from my wife and the wand and its attachments. I suddenly went from getting erect every day and barely getting aroused at all. Thinking it may be the Wellbutrin. See a Psychiatrists today. Trying electrical stem on my ears again, as Australian research indicates that antidepressants with electric impulses are more effective.

I have not had sex in over 5 years. My Prostate surgery was 2010. Dating has been a disaster despite the fact I keep in excellent physical shape, 5'8" tall, 149lbs, 30" waist, 41" chest, blue eyes/sandy hair. I am a total bottom but once even topmen learn I cannot shoot a load, all of a sudden they lose interest. So i said what is the point o guys hitting me a lot , if when they find out I have functional limitations, I am considered not a serious dating candidate for a relationship?

Anyone who would not be interested in you simply because you no longer ejaculate is a total asshole. :x
