Which One for Implant Surgery? Dr. Eid or Dr. Valenzuela?
Hi guys, I got 2 docs in NYC who are willing to perform my implant surgery. The 2 docs are, Dr. Eid and Dr. Valenzuela. Dr. Eid's surgery is priced at $26,000 and Dr Valenzuela's is $20,000. I dont have insurance so I'll pay out of pocket. They both have good track records frmo what I've been told a...

Re: Need List of Good NYC Docs Other Than Dr. Eid
I never found such a source. You have to sit down with theses doctors and make your decision based on what they tell you. Its worth it. I found out the hard way. I contacted Dr. Valenzuela's office. I've been there before as a matter of fact. But I went to see another doc there not him. I dont have...

Re: Need List of Good NYC Docs Other Than Dr. Eid
When I replace this malleable, I'm gonna have Dr. Robert Valenzuela do it. He's highly touted and as experienced as Eid. Look him up. How can I find out if he or any doc is good at penile implant surgery? Is there a website specifically that rates these docs according to specific area or surgical s...

Re: How Can I Pay for an Implant?
Are you going to Eid because he's local, or because of his track record? If it is the latter and you're willing to travel, Kramer might take Fidelis, but ultimately it is up to you. You might try to get a list of urological surgeons from Fidelis and start to work from there...but doesn't Medicare k...

Hi larry,
Dr. Eid has a $27,000 package which is good I guess since I've heard that surgeries from other docs can run as high as $60,000. But he's not available until end of July which sucks.

Re: How Can I Pay for an Implant?
When I started this (after I had gotten a lot of information, but before I had seen a surgeon), I dealt with insurance first. After seeing no outright exclusion in my Summary of Benefits document, I called mine up (Care First BC/BS in the Mid-Atlantic region) and asked them if my benefits covered a...

Re: What Insureance Plan Covers Implant Surgery?
Your urologist's office can probably tell you, and they probably will be willing to call on your behalf if you are denied coverage if they cover breast implants after a mastectomy. (Both are not life-threatening, but both greatly effect a person's life.) Hi David_R, Appreciate the reply. This is so...
