Implant surgery March 8--Part 2
Post-surgery in NYC : Dr. Eid emphasizes lying flat on your back for the first 48 hours to minimize swelling, but also recommends walking for 15 minutes 3 times/day. I found that lying down was my most comfortable position, but it’s also pretty damned boring to be lying flat staring at a hotel room...

Re: Implant
So I'll jump in also with a quick pat on the back, as we're all in the same boat around the same time. My Coloplast Titan implant surgery is scheduled for March 8. I've had quite a few different surgeries over the years, including prostatectomy, hernia, carpal tunnel, etc., and have never been nervo...
Re: My Story
Congrats, Woodworker! You and I will be getting our implants the same day. Care to share the doctor's name and/or location? As you can see from my "signature", I'll be traveling from Florida to New York for my surgery.

Re: Newbie with questions
Coach, I recommend reading all you can about implants--I only wish that I had learned about them years ago. Instead, I relied mostly on injections, which worked most of the time but weren't entirely satisfactory. My implant surgery is scheduled for March 8, and I am traveling from Florida to New Yor...

Re: Reason for Implant Surgery
I told my folks I was having some plumbing repairs made. Nobody asked for specifics. With my surgery now scheduled for March 8, my wife and I also have been struggling with this issue, especially since we are traveling from FL to NYC for the surgery. Your "excuse" seems logical, and we ma...

Re: Reimplantation
i think that one of my worst fears is getting an infection THERE That was one of my main reasons for choosing a high-volume implant surgeon with a low infection rate. Considering the importance of this, I was willing to travel as far as necessary--in my case, 1000 miles to get to my surgeon of choi...

All the best to you, Carl! My surgery is now less than 4 weeks away. Please let us know how things are going. Will you be in the hospital overnight?

Re: meds vs implant
My situation is a bit different from yours, but my thought process was this: I had pretty much given up on meds because to me the side effects--headache, stopped-up nose, etc.--were just not worth it. With trimix I could achieve an erection, but only barely sufficient for penetration and it was real...
