Why We’re Here…

Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball – like getting prostate cancer or getting in a car wreck. But every now and then, life throws us a lifeline – a gift. This happened to me recently as I was doing research for the site.

You can imagine the articles, blogs and material I discover in my research! But this time I came across an article that had a completely different tone to it. It grabbed me and brought me into the world of a man who is adventurous, funny, intense, honest and frank. I was quickly curious about who this guy was. His name is Sean Christopher. His articles had a spiritual aspect to them as well as an erotic edge – a really fascinating combination. He talked about religion and society’s constraints on male sexuality. He got me there. He talked about societal aspects that formed a shame based attitude toward sex. He got me there. He talked about incorporating our god-given sex drive into every aspect of our life as a driving force of creativity, kindness, compassion, exploration and excitement – sexuality was a life force to be explored. And I wanted to go there.

www.orgasmicguy.com is an amazing place to start your exploration. Sean will blow the doors off the hinges of your mindset with his insights and observations. He has a clear love of his sexuality and invites you to embark on your own voyage of discovery. He loves masturbation and even has written a book “101 Male Masturbation Techniques – What Men Do”. His premise is that once you have discovered your own exciting solo sexuality, you are then ready to bring that same exciting sexuality to your sex life with your partner. “What Men Do” addresses the state of male relationships in our culture where guys do not talk about anything intimate, let alone what they do sexually. Because of this isolation, guys tend to think what they do or like might be strange, weird, or odd. Hmmm…sound familiar?

But the best gift Sean Christopher gave me, was I finally have an underlying purpose to FrankTalk. Oh, I’ve known all along that this site was a good idea. I’ve never doubted for a minute that it was the right thing to do. But for the most part, I’ve been focusing on getting the plumbing working. The fact is, getting erections is only a very small part of the problem. With ED, our very manhood and sexuality is under attack. The most important job we have with each other at this site, is helping our each other find, reclaim and fulfill our unique sexuality. The sexuality god gave us and may have lost in all these struggles. We tend to think of ourselves as patients, as broken, as damaged goods. We’re not. We still have a fully human sexuality that can be expressed and still be the driving force in every moment of our lives. Thanks Sean.
